The Secret To Creating A Killer Marketing Plan

Marketing plans are an imperative part of starting any business. They are used as a blueprint for mapping out the manner in which you will be able to achieve your business goals. A marketing plan is not only necessary for new businesses, as it can be used to help existing programs incorporate the strengths their company currently enjoys in an effort to implement necessary changes or improvements.
A marketing plan can be implemented for a new product or service in which case it is meant to pull together all of the needed elements for an effective marketing start. It is important to have a marketing plan so that you can determine where you are, where you are headed, and how you will get there. It is especially important to have a marketing plan so that you can submit it for things such as loan considerations. As a whole, you should see your marketing plan as a process for which you have a team whole goal is keeping it simple, developing a time-frame, providing feedback, implementing necessary revisions, and remaining consistent with the mission statement.
Why Reason for Having a Marketing Plan
Your marketing plan is a small subsidiary of your business plan. The business plan is responsible for spelling out what your business does and does not do as well as the ultimate business goals. It is more than merely marketing as it discusses your locations, financing, staffing, and strategic alliances. It also includes your vision. Overall, think of the business plan as the cornerstone for your business. For new marketing or business measures, you need to alter the business or marketing plan. Your business plan should encourage an environment where your marketing plan can grow, thus both should reflect well on one another.
Components
There are many components to a marketing plan. The first component is a mission statement. Following this should be an executive summary. After the executive summary should be an internal or external analysis. You should include objectives after this point, followed by marketing strategies. Once you have determined your marketing strategies you should identify your resources, an implementation plan, a marketing budget, and evaluation methods.
Mission Statement
The mission statement should contain a clear description of the organizational identity, for what the business is meant, as well as which results your organization seeks. The mission statement should do more than just describe who is a part of the organization. It should reflect upon the internal and external perception in a manner which is understood by all. The mission statement should speak to what drives the organization and how things are accomplished within the organization. Overall, the mission statement should be simple.
Executive Summary
The executive summary acts as an overview which is readable and concise and summarizes the main objectives of your marketing plan. The internal analysis provides the background of the company, the current states, future directions, current resources, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the company. The external analysis includes the economy, the demographics, trends, competition, and target markets. As far as opportunities and threats are concerned, you should understand that the environment will produce both. You should estimate the probability therein based on severe to not severe, as well as likely to very unlikely.
The Executive Summary should be brief, a single page, and located at the front of the marketing plan. It should use short sentences, bullet points, as well as bullet points for the major issues. It should spell out what someone reading your marketing plan needs to know in order to make sense of it all. The summary should provide readers with a concise description of the upcoming plans for your company while also boiling down your main thoughts. Generally, this summary is written after the completion of the marketing plan.

SECRET TO SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS

Operating the wrong business is the most frequent mistake that start-up entrepreneurs make. Here is a checklist to help you to evaluate if you are in a potentially successful one or to reassess the business you are in:
·         If you have not yet selected a business, take your time and wait for the business that is just right for you. You will not be penalized for missing opportunities. The selection process takes a lot of planning and your experience and complete knowledge is vital for your success.

·         A common problem is not having much money to start a business. Surprisingly, there are a number of businesses that require no money at all.

·         Don't tackle or pursue businesses that may be too challenging. It is better to identify a one-foot hurdle than try to jump a seven-footer.

·         Try to identify a business that has long-term economic potential. "Pitch your tent where the crowd is going, not to where it is."

·         A big mistake can be an error of omission. This means you may fail to see an opportunity that is right in front of you.

·         Keep in mind that as a general rule specialists do better than non-specialists. Wouldn't you be more inclined to take your sick child to a doctor whose practice is limited to children rather than to a general practitioner?

·         Operate a business that will grow in today's and tomorrow's markets. Many small retail stores are no longer in business because huge stores such as Shoprite and others provide more choices to the customer and often at a cheaper price.

·         Look for businesses that focus on a "consumer monopoly" with pricing power and long-term predictable growth prospects.

·         Businesses to avoid are "commodity" businesses where you must compete entirely on price and in which you must have the lowest cost to survive. "In a commodity type business you're only as smart as your dumbest competitor."

·         Most service businesses have pricing power. Pricing power means that you will not need to have the lowest price in order to secure business. Your customers will be willing to pay a fair price for a better product or service.

·         If you are manufacturing a product, consider the pros and cons of contracting out production to a low-cost supplier. In other words, operate a "hollow corporation." A "hollow corporation" is a company that subcontracts manufacturing and packaging.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE

Every now and then someone asks me how they can make money online that’s different. What can they do that’s unique, untried, untested – how can they stand out? Of course, if I had a good answer to that question,
I would have already done it myself and it would not be unique, well that is not my point. What matters is that there is only ONE way to stand out online – to do something BETTER than someone else.

Business system are hardly unique. Online you create a website, create content for that website
and promote it, building trust and selling products. Simple enough?

What makes it UNIQUE is the person selling those products. What do you have to offer that other Internet Marketer does not have? What does your site discuss that others does not? What can you be that other people cannot? When it comes to making money online, there are three real ways I see to make money:

1. Create a Product or Service and Sell It

2. Source a Product and Sell It

3. Create Content and Sell Other Products

Number one is hard. It takes time, energy, investment and a big enough audience already waiting for you to write something. Do you? Probably not. So, what’s next?

Sourcing a product. This is the networking marketing and drop shipping crowd. It works well but it’s time consuming and has a higher risk. You’re investing money and time into a product that you need to 100% believe in and if you want to diversify in ANY way, you’re going to need more money and more time. If it works for you, great. But for me I want something that ALREADY works. That I can jump on board and start profiting from right
away.

That leaves number three.

Number three is what ALL online businesses should be doing. Yeah, even if you have a product that YOU created, your goal should always be to create content that promotes that brand and sells it to you audience.

Affiliate marketing is no different except that you can go out, find a product that already sells… already has a loyal, eager audience…and sell to them. We can cut out a HUGE chunk of time and energy that would otherwise be spent creating a product and use it to promote a product we already know people will LOVE.

That’s affiliate marketing and it works extremely well, but only if you see it as a true business model and not a get rich quick scheme.

I hope this answers your question.

How To Write A Mission and Vision Statement

To begin writing your  mission statement, get into a quiet place with paper and pencil.  Burn candle or put on some soothing music to get your mind flowing easily and to help you relax.  Take as much time as you need and when you are ready, answer these questions:

How would I describe what I do for others?  (eg. Inspire, empower, cheer up)
Who do I do these things for?  (eg. entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers)
How do I do it?  (eg. Through service, business or strategies like books)
How do they benefit? (eg. More sales, peace of mind, prosperity)

Now take some time to write your mission in long form, for your business and a personal   mission by putting each of the answers to these statements into a simple paragraph, two line and one line mission.

Here is an example

It is my mission to educate, motivate, empower and assist service based  entrepreneurs  such as   coaches, speakers, consultants and trainers to leverage and package their unique knowledge. I help   them see the marketability of their expertise, focus on their plan and assist them with the development, creation and  marketing of their information product line.  I do this through my own series of step by step do it yourself information products, live events, group coaching, online courses, and one to one   assistance.  create more sales, more  income, passion, purpose and personal freedom for my clients and myself through my business efforts.

One Line Business Mission

My business exists to educate, motivate, empower and assist information entrepreneurs in creating a
business that gives them a life filled with passion, purpose and prosperity.

One Line Personal Mission

My mission is to educate, motivate, empower and assist individuals with creating a life filled with   passion, purpose and prosperity

3 Simple Plan That Shows Your Purpose And To Profit From It

“Why am I here?  What is my passion?  What is my purpose?” There are many hundreds of books on this subject and it is an important and debatable one. Suppose I told you  that your purpose was to serve other people. What does that mean to you? How does that make you feel? Does it bring up more questions in your mind? Does it make you nervous?
Does it make you feel important?

I believe that everyone’s purpose is the same. I believe that it is our purpose to do the things
that make us happy. Many people will argue this because it seems selfish and in a way it is selfish. However, when you really think about it, how can you really go out and serve others when you are not happy? Have you ever been to a fast food where the waiter or  waitress  was not   doing the things that make them happy?  You can tell immediately , it affects your   experience  for the whole meal.  The same goes for your personal life with  your spouse, kids or significant  other, co-workers, etc. Did you ever feel completely stressed out  (because  you weren't making choices that reflected your values) and yell at your kids Did that make you  happy?  Probably not.

On the other hand, mission is what we set out to do when we are happy.  To me I see “mission” what most people will call “purpose”.   Once we’re happy, we can fulfill our mission, which is to serve others.  How we do that is the basis for our different personalities, our interests and our  beliefs.

So let’s break it down:

Stage 1 – Live on Purpose

My purpose in life is to be happy.  To be happy, I must live congruently with my values and goals and make good choices that honor my personal values.

When I am happy, I can fulfill my mission.

Stage 2 – Live Your Mission

My mission in life is to serve others.  To serve others, I must discover and more  knowledgable in the areas that interest me. By doing things in which I have interest, I am fulfilling my mission to serve others.

Stage 3 – Develop Your Gift(s)

Everybody has gifts. You are a special and unique human being, and you have something
that no one else have. Your job, is to discover those things that are uniquely your gifts.

For some people, the gift is obvious.

Many of us are not inherently born with the focus or the ability to pinpoint exactly what makes us special.  Others do not accept their gifts – instead they fight to develop something  that they think will bring them better  results, either personally, professionally or financially.

The truth is that when you discover your values, know yourself and develop the gifts that are  congruent with your values, you find peace and energy in being happy  while serving others.
This constant inflow and outflow of energy – energy that you both give and receive from
others - creates harmony and happiness in your life.
