CIRCLE OF LIES! What they don't tell you in school

How do you feel when learn that someone had lied to you?

Angry, Disappointed, Frustrated, Shocked!!

That is How I feel right Now!

For Our Educational System. You may disagree with me on this but this is the truth.

Do you remember your first year in the higher institution?  Hopes were high, in fact you would have been dreaming about your dream pay(working your ass off for someone or government)

Your lecturers painting the glamour of first class first job, as you strive sleeplessly to have a good grade so as to have a good pay (working your ass off for someone or government).

In fact your professors and Doctors tried to teach you entrepreneurship. I said they tried because they are only being theoretical rather than being practical.

Which is not possible. A salary earner teaching you how to earn a living as an entrepreneur. That is why you see MBA,  CHARTERED MARKETERS, etc looking for jobs rather than creating one.

FAST FORWARD TO GRADUATION

There so much excitement in the air. So much expectation and at that point they will still tell you about how lovely the after school will be.

OH YOU HAVE BEEN POSTED!

Everyone is thanking God for your life to serve your father land. And on your own part you are also happy about the allowee.

Little did you know that the job you so much crave for is only available for just 20% or less.

AFTER FOUR YEARS

It became clear to you that you have been lied to.

When millions are there without a job.

Some got a job that pays the same as your allowee

Some gets jobs that is well paying but is chocking the life out of them.

The most shocking is that all these graduates now work for the dropouts or the illiterates.

Then after so much gruelling years of services, you are either sacked or retired.

Some who had not yet woken up will go back to school & get more certificates increasing the number of job seekers, singing: Retired but not Tired.

But for those who just tired of job search will jump into entrepreneurship with those old ideas they learnt in school but after a while they face the music of failure.

Can you relate with any of this?

Circle of lies indeed.

It is time parents start improving their financial education and start teaching their kids too.

THE TRUTH

The rich and smart ones teach their kids to go to school and start a job that employs people but the poor do the opposite.

How To Sell Your Staff For Fast Cash!

As i have shown you before from the part 1 of this series on How To Turn Your Staff Into Cash, this is the final part.

This is a very lucrative business model, take a look at the most lucrative ways to package and sell your staff's expertise:

Multimedia programs. With digital camcorders available for under #25,000, you or a local video crew can cheaply produce a 30-minute “how-to”DVDs showing your employee teaching a specific process or procedure to other business owners or consumers.

Combine these DVDs with a manual, a workbook, audio CDs, and other information that can be priced at #2,950 or more per kit.

Coaching, and apprenticeship programs. Some of the most lucrative knowledge products ever, these programs include regular phone calls, group seminars, resource materials, and more— priced at thousands of naira per person.

HOW TO TURN YOUR STAFF INTO QUICK CASH

Your employees know things.

They know people,processes, procedures, and other particulars that could help grow a business, improve an individual system, or simply bring in more money.

That knowledge is worth cash—lots of it.

In fact, certain kinds of knowledge—especially knowledge that’s needed by your customers and peers—can be turned into consulting revenue, project management revenue, more lucrative service contracts, and so on.

The most commonly marketed types of employee knowledge include the following.

Implementation and Installation Services Without a doubt,the number one problem that most customers have is implementing, installing, using, or integrating the products, services, or advice you sell them.

If you’re a consultant, for example, your client companies are looking for a result, not just information and advice.

If you have employees who are experienced at implementing the strategies you recommend and you aren’t currently selling implementation services, start selling them immediately, even if it means sending your staff to the client’s location for a period of time.

Most advertising agencies, public relations firms, and marketing firms, for example,have an entire team of employees who implement promotional campaigns using outside services.

Similarly, if you sell small electronics, equipment, parts, or machinery, for example, but you don’t yet offer the services of someone to install these items, find one of your employees who can install them. Or negotiate a joint venture with an outside installer that you can refer business to for a percentage of the installation revenue.

Identify and locate the seven major areas where extra income can be made and find out which one your employer is failing at, then you can develop the strategy to execute it.

3. Advertising.
4. Prospects.
5. Sales Opportunities.
6. Internet Activities
7. Overlooked or Under-used Assets.

Each of the stated areas are money spinners, but to tell you the simple truth many business owners are not even aware of thses great opportunity. This should be a great news to you.

You Goal Then Will be to

1. Find Strategies You Can Implement.
2. Present the Strategy as a written plan to your employer in a closed door meeting.
3. Negotiate an Extra pay that is not less than your salary.
4. Take charge of the process.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY AS A SPEAKER & TRAINER

I Often hear this most times as a question from people who wants to start speaking or training.
But if you are reading this i will tell you the plain truth about this but if you can not handle the truth, it is better you go to the gurus. #wink

Professional speakers do not make much money directly, although they often make a lot of money indirectly.
There is one thing I tell most of my Protegees, which i will tell you too.

IF YOU CAN NOT DO IT FOR FREE YOU CAN NOT DO IT FOR A FEE!
If no one is listening to you Speak for free, why are they going to pay for it?

You need to see if you can build an audience before thinking about your bank account.

That is why i said If you can’t get people to listen to you speak for free, why do you think they will pay to listen to you?
How To Become Highly Paid Speaker!

Pick a niche. Let people know you for something.
FOCUS: Most speakers fail because they are always looking the new niche to speak in, but for you to be successful you must remain focused.

Seek to Speak More For Free.

WHERE IS THE MONEY

Become An MC: you can anchor weddings and events if you are good at that. If you can hold an audience and make feel engaged for hours.

I do this often that why i know, i have anchored over 125 weddings and anchored events for multinationals
But wait how long have I been in it, was there a waiting period? Yes there was! So don't be deceived into thinking that you can succeed in any business without hick ups!
Maybe there is...

CONSULTING/ TRAINING
You can train other people by solving their problems in your chosen field like i do.

But making money in consulting is simple but sometimes time consuming but ones you do it for the fun you can start billing per hour or per project or as you so wish!

HOW TO BECOME A TRUE ENTREPRENEUR

Can i tell you a Bitter truth?

 This truth is so powerful that it has the capacity to change completely your business future. 
 As a business person you are either a proprietor or an entrepreneur. Tragically, shockingly, but truthfully - something like 95% of all small business owners function as proprietors - not entrepreneurs. First a definition is important 

WHO IS A PROPRIETOR?

A proprietor is a business owner who adds nothing meaningful to the business category they address.  For example: A restaurant that does the same thing much the same way every other one does it---adds little (if any) real value to the marketplace - other than (maybe) convenience of location and Price.

Certainly in this case the owner is relying on the market expanding to embrace his or her offerings, but they don't make the experience any better. They don't redefine the concept. They don't innovate the product/service offering. It's just another  restaurant. 

WHO IS A TRUE ENTREPRENEUR?

A true entrepreneur is a business owner committed to continuously innovating - innovating how they conduct business, and what they offer, innovating the experience people encounter, innovating the way the product/service gets delivered/presented, innovating the product/service itself. 

The proprietor merely does what has been done by thousands before others. They don't try to create a new satisfaction, experience or consumer demand. All the proprietor does is hope they can tap into existing demand. 

An entrepreneur creates something new, creates new experiences, new satisfaction, new definition of what they do. Entrepreneurs create something different - more exciting, more satisfying, more desirable or valuable to the market.
